The IAWDC Scholarship Committee is pleased to offer one selectee an educational scholarship in the amount of $1,000, payable to selectee’s educational institution. This scholarship, available to all members, can be applied to any type of furthering education (under grad or graduate at 2yr/4yr college/university, vocational/technical school, language school, i.e.) and will be paid directly to the bursar’s office.
Application must be postmarked by June 5, 2019, and sent by mail to Icelandic Association of Washington DC, PO Box 1616, Woodbridge, VA 22195, or by email to icelanddc@hotmail.com
The 2019 Scholarship will be awarded at our annual Icelandic Independence Day/Sautjándi Júní Celebration which takes place June 16, 2019.
All members in good standing may apply, as well as children and grandchildren of current members.
Please fill out the IAWDC Scholarship Application 2019 and also include:
– current transcript (if applicable)
– proof of enrollment to an educational institute (acceptance letter)
– one letter of reference/recommendation (from a teacher or professor if a current student)
– If more space is needed, please attach a separate sheet
